Abstract: This course is meant to be an introduction to the study of elliptic curves. We will approach the subject from both an algebraic point of view and a complex analytic one. The final goal of the course is to show that the categories of complex tori, lattice of rank 2, and elliptic curves over the complex field are equivalent.
